Engadine Cottage
Pet-friendly and suitable for families, the whole cottage is for your exclusive use with kitchen and laundry facilities, a sun room and a television, near the shops and eateries of Mole Creek but far enough away to be a perfect retreat or hideaway, with an absolutely amazing view.
In addition to the two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a pair of singles, Engadine Cottage has a spacious, open-plan living area with a pair of sofas, a coffee table, a television with a DVD player, and an assortment of books and magazines.
The bathroom features a shower, towels and a hair dryer, you have all the bedding provided and when it comes to the kitchen you can make full use of an oven and stove top, a toaster, a microwave, a refrigerator, tea and coffee-making equipment, lots of utensils, cookware and dishes and a good, sturdy, wooden dining table.
Various practical matters are taken care of, as there is a high chair and a number of toys for guests bringing a small child to Engadine Cottage, a washing machine and dryer, free Wi-Fi internet, free parking, reverse-cycle air conditioning, an iron, an ironing board, a complete no-smoking rule so you don’t arrive to a stale scent of tobacco, and the place is pet-free so your four-legged friend can spend the holiday with you.
Outside is a garden with a patio, and you might chance upon an inquisitive echidna wandering about. The view from the place is just stunning, with countryside as far as the eye can see in a beautiful panoramic expanse. You can of course enjoy these views indoors from the north-facing sun room, but in fine weather (which is a lot of the time in Tasmania), there is plenty more to see further afield.
Maps and information for the Great Western Trails Cycling Trails are available at the cottage, along with secure storage for your bikes, a bike-cleaning station, an air compressor and, locally, you can find a number of bike-friendly businesses and services. Mole Creek is a few minutes away, with takeaways, a general store, a post office, a swimming pool, various facilities for picnics and barbecues, a service station and even an online-access centre.
Other places well worth visiting include the Walls of Jerusalem, Marakoopa Caves, Lobster, Liffey and Westmorland Falls, and not too far off are Launceston, Devonport and beautiful Cradle Mountain.
Situated in Mole Creek, this cottage is 0.1 mi (0.1 km) from Mersey Hill Karst Nature Reserve and within 3 mi (5 km) of Alum Cliffs State Reserve and Marakoopa Cave. Trowunna Wildlife Park and Melita Honey Farm are also within 6 mi (10 km).
This smoke-free cottage features laundry facilities, a garden, and barbecue grills. Free continental breakfast, free WiFi in public areas, and free self parking are also provided. Other amenities include a picnic area.
The cottage provides a kitchen with a refrigerator, an oven, a stovetop, and a microwave. For a bit of entertainment, a TV comes with a DVD player, and added amenities include a washer/dryer and a shower. Housekeeping is not available.
