Day 1 - Arrive in Hobart

Located at historic Salamanca Place, Salamanca market is a major tourist attraction in Tasmania and attracts locals and visitors every Saturday.

Day 2 - Explore Hobart

Just one hour out of Hobart, you can easily make a day trip to the famous Russell Falls. The 20 minute return walk takes you through the heart of Mt. Field National Park.

Day 3 - Explore Port Arthur

Port Arthur is a major tourist attraction where visitors can explore the haunting landscape and well-preserved, convict-built structures.

Day 4 -Port Arthur to Freycinet

Take the optional Tasman Island Cruise to enjoy the scenic view of incredible sea cliffs, seal colonies and marine wildlife.

Day 5 - Explore Freycinet

Wineglass Bay is part of the Freycinet Peninsula, an outcrop of wild, pristine coast land on Tasmania’s east coast.

Day 6 - Freycinet to Launceston

Bicheno is a beautiful town on the spectacular east coast of Tasmania, cradled between Douglas-Apsley National Park and Freycinet National Park.

Day 7 - Depart Launceston

Cataract Gorge is just 15 minutes walk from Launceston. Here you’ll find many attractions such as the world’s longest single span chairlift.

Day 1 - Arrive in Hobart

Arrive at Hobart Airport and collect your rental car. Explore Richmond, Salamanca Place and Battery Point. Drive up our beautiful Mount Wellington for views over all of southern Tasmania.

Day 2 - Explore Hobart

Drive up the Derwent Valley and visit Russell Falls in Mount Field National Park. Visit New Norfolk and the Salmon Ponds.

Optional Accommodation Upgrade: 4 star – The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel, Hobart, or similar

Day 3 - Explore Port Arthur

Drive to Port Arthur and the Tasman Peninsula. Visit Port Arthur Historic Site and find the best presentation of Australia’s convict history. Explore the many other sights in the area such as the spectacular sea-cliffs at Eaglehawk Neck and Devil’s Kitchen.

Day 4 -Port Arthur to Freycinet

Take the Tasman Island Wilderness Cruise as an optional add on to incredible sea cliffs, seal colonies and marine wildlife.

Head up the east coast backroads to Freycinet National Park. See Buckland Church, Spiky Bridge and call in at the Freycinet Vineyard and the Oyster Farm. At night join the optional penguin watching tour to get close to these adorable animals.

Day 5 - Explore Freycinet

Day at Freycinet. Take the optional Wineglass Bay Nature Cruise and then climb up to the lookout for fantastic views down onto Wineglass Bay.

Day 6 - Freycinet to Launceston

Drive the backroads to Bicheno, then up the coast to the Elephant Pass. Cross the pass to St. Marys and follow the highway up the Fingal Valley to Macquarie Plains. Follow the Northern Heritage Highway to Evandale and onto Launceston.

Day 7 - Depart Launceston

Visit Cataract Gorge, then drive along the West Tamar for fabulous scenery and boutique wineries. Stop at Platypus House before heading to Launceston Airport.

Drop off your car at Launceston Airport and depart.
