Whether it’s a Cabin or a House, you’ve certainly got a place with a view. There are self-contained cottages with room for up to five guests, wilderness cabins that have elevated rear balconies to give you the most amazing views of the natural environment around you, and luxury spa suites with their generous living space, coupled with the same views of the wilderness. All have their own bathroom, gas log fire and of course tea and coffee-making facilities. Depending on your choice of accommodation at Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat, it is possible to have a place with television and DVD player, CD player, minibar, a dining area and a kitchenette, which comes with all the essential cooking facilities (including a microwave oven).
In the public areas it is possible to have access to the internet without any charge, and self-parking is also free, as are the use of bicycles and English breakfast in the morning! The property has a library, conference centre, laundry facilities and there is a bar and lounge area available to guests, in addition to a picnic area. On top of that, Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat has made desks, ironing boards and free toiletries available, has a safe-deposit box at the front desk, can provide you with barbecue equipment and also has a designated smoking area. You can even pick up the newspapers on site.
Whispering Woods Restaurant is open every day for breakfast and dinner, and also offers a packed-lunch service. The staff cater for vegetarian and gluten-free diets, although they do request that you contact them in advance in such cases. Reservation is also essential for their evening a-la-carte dinner, due to its sheer popularity.
While staying at Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat, you won’t be short of things to do locally. For example, Mole Creek Caves offer three 45-minute tours of the subterranean world. Cradle Mountain, in Lake St Clair National Park, is famous for its ancient rainforests and alpine heaths. And if you fancy something unusual of the man-made variety, Tazmazia can be found nearby in the town of Promised Land and features a model village and eight human mazes.
Situated in a national park, this motel is within 16 mi (25 km) of Mount Roland Regional Reserve, Staverton Regional Reserve, and Forth Falls Creek Conservation Area. Dove River Conservation Area and Mount Roland Conservation Area are also within 20 mi (32 km).

Stayed with my two daughters January two nights and we loved it. We had a spa log cabin - great after hiking. Fire in cabin, beautiful elevated bush view from balcony. Loved the huge main log cabin - played board games in front of roaring fire with pre-dinner drinks.
We stayed here as a family of four for three nights and it was the nicest place we stayed in Tasmania. I could have quite happily stayed here for a week and made daily visits to the beautiful Cradle Mountain.
