Senior Travel Planner and Designer

A unique opportunity exists for an Australian travel expert to join a growing, iconic Australian and Tasmanian business, designing, booking and coordinating unique Tasmanian Travel experiences for high end visitors to our beautiful country. This is a once-off opportunity to be at the beginning of something big, to be the customer face of Australia and Tasmania.

You will work with a dynamic new team of individuals, all experts in their field, passionate about Tasmania and building this business and an amazing culture from the ground up. This is a ground-floor opportunity to create the role that best suits you, best serves the company, and that allows you to help us expand into the organisation that we hope to become!

Are passionate about planning and booking the most awesome Australian and Tasmanian experience for your customers

  • Are an experienced travel agent with proven sales and excellent organisation skills
  • Have an extensive and contemporary knowledge of Australia’s tourism and hospitality offering
  • Are an accomplished administrator, networker and creative thinker

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service over the phone, via email and in person
  • Interpreting and understanding the potential customers’ profile and selling a Australian and Tasmanian experience that best fit their needs
  • Using your insider, local in-depth knowledge to convert enquiries into bookings
  • Designing unique, engaging and unforgettable Australian and Tasmanian itineraries for our customers
  • Upselling and driving growth of our online bookings, meeting your KPIs and commission targets and maximising profitability for the custom experience arm of our business
  • Forming relationships with and negotiating optimal supply agreements and keep up to date with movements in the industry and new suppliers
  • Assisting in the formation of new processes and systems to optimise efficiency
  • Preparing and issuing invoices, receipt payments and maintain accurate financial documents

This is a Full Time work from home position. Your package includes a base salary with a competitive commission structure and exciting rewards for meeting KPIs.
