Most of the rest of the 250 square metres of this luxury retreat is divided between an open-plan kitchen-cum-dining room and a lounge area. This includes a real fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows affording wonderful views of the bay, a modern sofa and armchairs, a huge television with a DVD player, and just off to one side there is even a library, all topped off with Tasmanian Blackwood timber cladding.
In addition to free toiletries and a hair dryer, the bathrooms include a two-person, free-standing bathtub in the master bathroom, and a separate shower. The kitchen at The Hobart Entrance has such equipment as a four-hob gas stove, an oven, a microwave, a full-size fridge-freezer, tea and coffee-making gadgets and a dishwasher. You have laundry facilities that include a washing machine and a dryer.
Inside you have the comforts of air conditioning, and outside there is a wooden hot tub and an in-ground swimming pool, accessible from December to March, an outdoor dining area, a wood-fired pizza oven and barbecue, a patio and a garden with some beautiful rare plants.
Parking is free, and a number of places of interest are less than ten minutes’ drive from The Hobart Entrance, including the shopping hub of Kingston, the beach, a golf course, Blackman’s Bay and a number of hiking trails. Not much further is Hobart’s Central Business District, and you are only half an hour away from Hobart International Airport.
Located in Kingston, this luxury vacation home is 1.5 mi (2.5 km) from Kingborough Sports Centre and within 6 mi (10 km) of Denison Street Reserve and Kingston Beach. Peter Murrell Nature Reserve and Boronia Beach are also within 6 mi (10 km).
