A self-catering studio has a queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom and an open-plan kitchen and dining area. For between four and six guests, a self-catering family room, with queen and bunk beds, has its own private bathroom and kitchen facilities. Linens and towels are provided. At the budget end, a dormitory has bunk beds and can hold between four and eight, and finally there are powered and unpowered sites for those staying in a motorhome or tent. Although not part of the actual holiday park, the proprietors additionally have four large, fully furnished Gaol House Cottages to rent if you prefer something more spacious.
While staying at Seaview Holiday Park and Hostel, you have the use of free parking space, free wireless internet, a common area with a television, access to laundry equipment, luggage storage and a limited housekeeping service. Dogs are welcome on the condition that you contact the staff in advance, and all guests are welcome to use the barbecue equipment and the outdoor tennis court, as well as having free run of the grounds, which include a picnic area.
As the name implies, Seaview Holiday Park and Hostel affords pleasant views of the ocean and you can see the hills gently sloping down to the water’s edge while enjoying a picnic by the lawn. The 12-metre by 12-metre room can hold up to 80 people and has a private bar, private entrance and a fully equipped commercial kitchen, not to mention the panoramic views of the sea.
You don’t need to drive halfway across Tasmania to find a raft of things to do if you are staying in Bicheno. Glass-bottomed-boat tours, fishing on Governor Island, the spectacular Bicheno Blowhole and plenty of walking and cycling routes are available. All the conveniences of Bicheno town centre are nearby, including supermarkets, a chemist, cash machine, newsagent and an award-winning butcher, as well as a tourist-information centre.
Situated in Bicheno, this hostel is within a 15-minute walk of Bicheno Penguin Tours, Lookout Rock State Reserve, and Bicheno’s Motorcycle Museum & Restoration. Whalers Lookout Conservation Area and Whalers Lookout are also within 1 mi (2 km).
An outdoor tennis court, laundry facilities, and a garden are available at this smoke-free hostel. Free WiFi in public areas and free self parking are also provided. Additionally, barbecue grills, a picnic area, and a TV in a common area are onsite.
