Port Arthur Villas has been in business since the late eighties, and while it originally catered mainly for Tasmanian residents it is now very much in demand by guests from mainland Australia and further afield. Among the attractions drawing them there is obviously the ocean location, as well as the fact that it is a mere three kilometres from Port Arthur Historic Site and Tasman Golf Course, and just five kilometres from Isle of the Dead and Point Puer. Other attractions in the vicinity include snorkelling, and there are a number of hiking and cycling trails.
