Port Arthur Villas are nine individually furnished rooms, with the choice of Studio, Standard Room, Family Room, and Companion (with 2 bedrooms). Not only are there kitchens equipped with refrigerators, ovens, microwaves and stoves, but there are even iPod docks for the guests, as well as free wireless internet. There are private bathrooms, which are not ensuite. Among the amenities the rooms come with are towels and linens, premium bedding, a phone, the all-important coffee and tea-maker, air conditioning, television with premium channels, a furnished patio and they even throw in free bottled water.

Parking is free at this family-friendly, no-smoking motel, and features include a computer station, business centre, laundry and babysitting services, a picnic area and a garden. If you are interested in booking tours of the area or ticketed events, the staff provide assistance with this. In the public areas, as in the rooms, there is wireless internet. For a surcharge, continental breakfast is also available.

Port Arthur Villas has been in business since the late eighties, and while it originally catered mainly for Tasmanian residents it is now very much in demand by guests from mainland Australia and further afield. Among the attractions drawing them there is obviously the ocean location, as well as the fact that it is a mere three kilometres from Port Arthur Historic Site and Tasman Golf Course, and just five kilometres from Isle of the Dead and Point Puer. Other attractions in the vicinity include snorkelling, and there are a number of hiking and cycling trails.
