Bicheno is fairly well known for its penguin tours, and Bicheno’s Ocean View Retreat is in a good location for this activity, as they are just a four-minute drive away. Bicheno Blowhole is a similar distance if you’d like to see nature getting ferocious, and there are also Whalers Lookout and East Coast Natureworld. Just over ten minutes away on foot is Douglas-Apsley National Park, and, if it’s peace and quiet you are after, the tranquillity of your accommodation is something a number of guests have remarked on.
