Motel rooms (Twin or Family) have double and single beds, include a writing desk, complimentary tea, coffee and milk and their bathrooms are configured with a shower over a bath. A hair dryer is available if you need one. Apartments have all of this as well as an iron and ironing board, air conditioning, a stove, cook-top or full oven-stove combination and beds in various forms of queen, single and bunk.

There are rooms with balconies furnished with all-weather tables and chairs, and two guests per room have a complimentary continental breakfast each morning (more can be catered for on payment of a surcharge). For those who have to be on-line at every moment, you have not been forgotten as there is a wireless network accessible in each room (again, for an extra fee). Parking is free of charge, and for your peace of mind there is round-the-clock security monitoring and night patrols by the guards. This is a pet-free and non-smoking motel.

Naturally, with Parklane Motel being so close to the middle of Launceston, it is a good choice for business travellers (you are close to the Central Business District or CBD) and holidaymakers alike. At reception you may pick up a tour leaflet or ask the friendly and helpful staff for any assistance with tour booking or purchasing tickets.

When you get hungry or thirsty, it takes no more than a few minutes either on foot or by car to find Italian, Thai, Cantonese, Australian (naturally) and a whole host of other national cuisines, plus cafes, bars and grocery stores. For all other shopping, you have it made both Quadrant Mall and Brisbane Street Mall.

No visit to Launceston is complete if you have not seen the amazing Cataract Gorge, while children (and their parents) absolutely love Launceston Aquatic Centre. The furry friends at Platypus House and the endearing inhabitants of Seahorse World are just waiting for you to visit, and for a relaxing stroll among wonderfully well-kept lawns and flower beds there’s City Park.
