Culinary Delights

The secret is out....visitors are flocking to Tasmania to taste some of the freshest seafood  on the planet.  Veggies will not be disappointed with the array of incredible produce at the markets, and multiple tours stretch across the island specifically catering to the taste buds and highlighting yummy delights such as cheese, chocolate, honey and more!

Award-winning beverages are there to wash all of these down. Whisky, Gin,Vodka,Craft Beers, and of course the cool climate wines.

History & Culture

As much as Tasmania is a hot new item on people's travel bucket lists, rest assured there is no lack of fascinating "old" lurking around many corners.  History buffs will relish visiting the many world heritage sites that explore Tassie's convict roots.  Art lovers will  be WOW'd by edgy MONA, along with with the many other museums that delve into everything from Antarctic expeditions to murals and landscape paintings.  Depending on your area of interest, there are many tours that delve deeply into everything Tasmanian: past, present, and future.

Festivals & Events

If you'd like to time your trip to coincide with a festival, you won't have to wait too long...events take place year-round and some are quite unique to Tasmania.  If you'd like to fulfil your lifelong dream of witnessing the penny farthing championships, look no further!  There are quite simply too many to list here, but some of the most popular events to consider attending include:  Dark Mofo, Taste of Tasmania, The Huon Valley Mid-Winter Festival, The Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, Targa Tasmania, and the Unconformity - just to name a few!

Nature and Wildlife

Tasmania is renowned for its unique wildlife and spectacular natural sites and National Parks which cover vasts amounts of land on all ends of the island.  Hiking trails leading to majestic waterfalls are not uncommon, and you'll most likely cross paths with rare species of  birds or perhaps the iconic Tasmanian Devil!  If you don't have time for a multi-day hiking adventure, sanctuaries and even an "unzoo" allow you and the family to get up close to some of the local creatures that call Tassie home.
