Big Day Out from Hobart to Cradle Mountain
This tour is unique because it gives you a full day inside one of Australia’s – and the worlds, most beautiful National Parks, as a day tour from Hobart.That means one big day – perhaps an add on to your holiday or business trip based out of Hobart, efficient and focused just on Cradle Mountain. No extra accommodation required – just a day pack. It is a lovely drive through the heart of Tasmania between Hobart and Cradle Mtn, passing through charming villages, farmlands, forest, button grass plains, by Mountains and over rivers. Sunrise and Sunset are thrown in at no extra cost – being outside for the whole day for the full light show, and from dark back to dark is delightful.We will also guide you inside Cradle Mountain NP to make the most of our time there – up to 5 hours, a really good amount of time to explore, hike, climb, walk, photograph, sit, breathe, enjoy.We start early and return to Hobart between 8 and 9pm.Contact direct for possible other dates and specials.

Stop At: Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park, Tasmania Australia
Our guests will enjoy up to six hours inside the Cradle Mountain end of Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park. This time will go quickly as either independently, or with your Driver/Guide, you will walk the trails and boardwalks, hike up to high lookouts, walk around Dove Lake, visit the Interpretation Centre or just sit down and soak up the natural beauty (or a comfy chair by the fire at Cradle Mountain Lodge.)
This “Big Day Out” is for lovers of nature who want to access somewhere remote but without the costs and extra packing associated with accommodation, overnight stays.
Three parts to the day:
1) Relaxing drive to and from Cradle Mountain in executive class bus with a stop for breakfast at Deloraine, and dinner at Sheffield, lovely small towns in regional TAS.
2) Up to six hours inside the National Park – this is effectively a full day experience and will allow you to do and see the highlights and then some.
3) Make the most of Autumn – a beautiful season at Cradle Mtn

Stop At: Deloraine, Deloraine, Tasmania
It is a relaxing drive from Hobart to Cradle Mountain National Park – approx 4.5 hours with a midway stop. We stop in delightful Deloraine for 45 minutes to stretch the legs and grab some breakfast from one of the cafes or bakeries on the main street. It is 90 minutes from here to Cradle Mountain.

Stop At: Sheffield, Sheffield, Tasmania
On the return leg home, approx 4.5 hours in total, inclusive of dinner, we stop at the Sheffield Hotel for a country meal and refreshments. We then continue back to Hobart and complete our big day out.
