A variety of artwork can be found in them, ranging from paintings and sculptures to photographs. Parking is free, and there are laundry services available. Don’t forget that, on top of only allowing adults, they don’t allow pets either, unless of course you have a guide dog or other service animal, in which case they make an exception.
Your location in Stanley is ideally placed for exploring the local flat-topped hill known as ‘The Nut’, with fantastic panoramic views from the summit. As well as guided tours of the area, there is also a chairlift near At VDL Stanley for those who want to avoid the climb.
When you get hungry, there is quite a wide range of restaurants in the area, many of which get their ingredients locally, and while you are in town, check out the little shops and cafes the place has to offer.
On top of all this, you can take a cruise on the Arthur River, visit the small farming town of Marrawah, explore the Tarkine Wilderness and, for the surfers among you, attend the annual West Coast Surf Classic.
