Salamanca Inn has meeting rooms as part of its business centre, and there is free self parking if you are coming by car. On the other hand, if you need a car, you can rent one using the service available at the hotel itself. Tour and ticket assistance is also provided, as is a safe, luggage storage, daily housekeeping and, for a surcharge, a babysitting service. There are free newspapers which can be found in the lobby. The hotel also has its own indoor pool and spa tub.

What about the food? Well, Salamanca Inn’s own Beef & Seafood Grill is the answer. It has quite a range of dishes, so you can taste what Tasmania has to offer (they pride themselves on their locally sourced ingredients). Don’t worry if you have an allergy, as the cooking staff can accommodate it and there are, obviously, a gluten-free and dairy-free options.

Now for the location. The iconic Salamanca Place is on the doorstep here on the waterfront of Hobart. You can also explore the speciality shops, restaurants, cafes, and galleries converted from early nineteenth century sandstone warehouses as you walk the plane-tree-lined streets. Famous landmarks include Parliament House, St. David’s Park, Sullivans Park & Battery Point and, on Saturdays, Salamanca Market. On top of all of this, for the more active there are cycling and hiking trails nearby, as well as bike rental, and a golf course.
