Cradle Alpine Retreat
All the comfort of your own self-contained cottage in an oasis of calm not far from Cradle Mountain National Park.
Each of the four cottages has its own kitchen. One has its own log fire, just perfect for those long evenings in, and three have spa baths. As well as being air conditioned, they have cable and satellite television, as well as a DVD player, a lounge area, balcony and verandah, and all you would expect of a properly furnished cottage. You don’t need to bring your own linens, towels, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, alarm clock, toaster teapot or coffee maker, as all of this has been taken care of. There are even cots available if you have very young children with you. Naturally, all the cottages at Cradle Alpine Retreat are for non-smokers, although there are designated smoking areas on the site. Whichever cottage you go for, you are guaranteed a room with a view.
The property itself has its own bar and lounge area, a coffee shop and free self-parking. On top of this you can find a deli and it is possible to make tea and coffee in the common area. Laundry facilities are, as you can expect from a 3.5 star venue, also provided.
While you are staying at Cradle Alpine Retreat, just twenty-five miles from Cradle Mountain National Park, why not visit some of the local attractions? For example, Marakoopa Caves, a collection of over 300 caves and sinkholes in the area, draws quite a number of visitors every year and features two underground rivers as well as the chance to see glow-worms, rim pools and large caverns, among other natural features. Kimberly Warm Springs, where the water is always at a steady 24-25 degrees Celsius, has rare flora and fauna to explore, and also offers a sheltered barbecue area (as well as a car park and toilet – the site organisers have taken the visitors practical needs into account). Then there is Lake Cethana, where a two-hour walk is possible, taking in a fern gulley and plenty of forest trekking for the energetic.
Situated in the mountains, this cottage is 10.1 mi (16.3 km) from Tasmazia and 12.1 mi (19.5 km) from Lake Barrington International Rowing Course. King Solomons Cave and Leven Canyon Regional Reserve are also within 32 mi (52 km).
