Annies Garden Cottage
This two-storey property has a mixture of modern equipment, such as in the kitchen, and an older-world feel to it with the hardwood furniture in the separate living area, set in a pleasant garden with free parking available and close to Hobart Rivulet Linear Park, ideal for a self-catering family or similar group.
Up to four guests can stay here, with three bedrooms, a bathroom with an actual bath, a shower and a bidet, plus an additional guest toilet. There is plenty of hangar space for your clothes and you can find towels, dressing gowns, bath sheets, toiletries and a hair dryer. The kitchen is equipped with an oven and stove top, a full-size refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a kettle, a pop-up toaster, a microwave oven and a nice selection of cookware, utensils and dishes.
You don’t need to bring your own bedding to Annies Garden Cottage as it’s all included with the double and single beds, premium-quality bedding at that! There is a no-pets and no-smoking policy, but the owners do not have a downer on guests bringing children, so it’s a family-friendly place. In one room there are a few wooden armchairs with soft upholstering, placed around a real fireplace which you can enjoy in the winter months. More modern entertainment comes in the form of a flat-screen television, complete with cable channels and on-demand films, as well as wireless internet.
Laundry can be done with the washing machine and finished off with the iron and ironing board, which have helpfully been included in the cottage’s inventory. Indoor and outdoor dining areas are furnished, with a parquet floor inside and a patio outside. The two-storey property also has a garden.
Being in the south of Hobart, Annies Garden Cottage is in the Central Business District (CBD) so makes a good base if it is your work which brings you here. A short drive and you are at such places as Salamanca Market, Brooke Street Pier, the Playhouse Theatre or Franklin Square. Naturally you do not have to look far in order to find general shops and places to eat, and a walk of just five minutes can take you to Vanidols South Hobart and Le Provencal, with Markree House Museum & Garden not far either.
