There are three properties to choose from at Abs by the Bay: The Deck has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two king singles. The Tasman has a single bedroom with a queen bed. Both have a bathroom, a kitchen, complete with dining table, and a separate lounge area. Alternatively you could opt for Skippers Studio which lacks the kitchen and lounge area although it does come with a fridge, a microwave, complimentary tea and coffee-making equipment and has a furnished outdoor area, with its own barbecue.

Heating and air conditioning are provided in all of these non-smoking venues, as is a television, a hair dryer and premium-quality bedding. The Deck can comfortably sleep four while The Tasman and Skippers Studio have space for two. All are in a garden setting, with their own balcony, and ideal if you plan to visit the much-recommended Port Arthur Historic Site.

Self-parking is free and there is direct access to the beach. Each apartment is separate, so it is only members of your own party that you will be sharing with – perfect if it is a complete getaway you have in mind. That said, you are not cut off from civilisation here, and nearby attractions include the Tessellated Pavement, Eaglehawk Neck and the intriguing Tasmanian Devil Unzoo all less than ten minutes’ drive from Abs by the Bay.

Offering direct access to the beach, this Taranna apartment building is steps from Dart Island State Reserve and 2 mi (3.2 km) from Eaglehawk Bay State Reserve. Pirates Bay Nature Recreation Area and Tessellated Pavement State Reserve are also within 6 mi (10 km).
