Museum of Old and New Art – MONA
MONA Hobart Tours

Seeing to MONA has become a “must do” when visiting Hobart.

MONA is the largest privately funded museum in Australia, and is the brainchild of Tasmanian David Walsh. It houses a range of interesting and diverse artworks, many of which are considered mildly controversial.

The Moorilla Estate Vineyard and winery are at the same location and part of the MONA complex. The building alone is worth the visit.

MONA is set on a peninsula of land jutting out into the Derwent River about 16 Kms (10 mi) north of the city in the suburb of Berriedale.

Joining a day tour that includes admission and time at MONA is a good way to include it in your Hobart itinerary.

Our MONA Hobart tours are full day tours that include either a City Sightseeing Tour, a visit to the top of Mount Wellington, or  the Cadbury Chocolate Centre in the day.
