Stanley Cabin & Tourist Park
For those planning to visit the remarkable ‘Nut’ mountain in Stanley, the location couldn’t be better, and the self-contained cabins are ideal for groups or families. The camping facilities are impressive too.
Standard cabins at Stanley Cabin and Tourist Park have queen and double beds in the main bedrooms, with sheets and bedding already made up before you arrive. Other arrangements include singles and bunk beds. An en-suite bathroom with a shower has towels and a hair dryer provided, while cooking arrangements include a fridge, an oven and stove, a microwave, the all-important gizmos for making tea and coffee (naturally!), an electric kettle and a number of items of cookware and utensils. There are electric blankets, a flat-screen television and the place is electrically heated. The Deluxe cabins and spa cabins have a few more features and are directly on the waterfront. They also provide a six-bedroom Station Master Shack
Camping facilities, both for those with tents and with camper vans or RVs are also on hand at Stanley Cabin and Tourist Park. There are powered and non-powered sites as well as sheltered grass sites. Communal items include toilet blocks which are easily accessible, showers, a baby-changing room, and the Campers’ Kitchen which has barbecue facilities, a fridge and various cooking equipment. There is even a television.
The site only allows service animals as far as pets go, parking is free, wireless internet is available (also for free) and you can make use of laundry equipment, a luggage-storage service and even booking tickets and tours. One tour you will probably want to go on is the local star attraction of ‘The Nut’, an extinct volcanic plug with superb panoramic views from the peak. Climb or take the chair lift, you can go on your own or as part of a guided tour. Stanley Golf Club, Stanley Seaquarium and Highfield House are only a short walk away, and the whole resort is near the beach, so there is something for everyone here.
Situated in Stanley, this beach holiday park is within a 10-minute walk of The Nut State Reserve, Stanley Discovery Museum and Genealogy Centre, and The Nut Chairlift Stanley. Sawyer Bay and Stanley Conservation Area are also within 15 minutes.
Guests at this beach holiday park will appreciate convenient onsite amenities such as a playground and barbecue grills.
