Kerrellie Cottages
These self-contained cottages from the colonial era are delightful, with an exceptionally high standard of furnishing and each one with its own unique character, this is no ordinary self-catering property.
A king-size Louis XV bed in the two-person Church Cottage, a queen-size and three singles in the two-bedroom Police Superintendent’s Cottage, and a four-poster queen-size bed in Sir John Cottage are all lavishly furnished, and all towels and toiletries are provided. Two cottages have a spa bath and a leather Chesterfield suite, all have a cosy fireplace and full cooking facilities, and all are yours for the duration of your stay without any intrusion from the owners.
There is a fourth property at Kerrellie Cottages which is currently under renovation. Meanwhile, you can opt for a property with a television, laundry facilities, a rear veranda sitting area, a bay window overlooking a valley of tree ferns, or a fenced front yard and a pet-friendly guest policy. The only supermarket in Strahan is close by, in the case of one of the cottages directly across the road.
Your cottage is in a part of the town where there are plenty of things to see at a leisurely walking pace, and with a good range of shops as well, including a pharmacy, a hairdresser’s, a bakery, and the dining opportunities down on the waterfront of Bushmans Bar and Grill and Hamers Hotel. West Coast Reflections and Strahan Harbour are roughly five minutes away, while you can get to Strahan Visitor Centre, Botanical Garden Reserve and Strahan Golf Club in about twenty. Among the many attractions of Strahan you can find the Whiskey and Spirits tasting bar at the Wilderness Woodworks on the waterfront. This is run by the very friendly owners of Kerrellie Cottages and worth a visit if you are a spirits drinker.
Situated in Strahan, this cottage is within a 10-minute walk of Strahan Harbour and West Coast Reflections. Strahan Visitor Centre and Botanical Garden Reserve are also within 15 minutes.
