The countryside is beautiful, the alpacas are charming and the rooms are comfortable, all making this a great choice for a peaceful getaway or a base for exploring the Sheffield region.
Four types of accommodation are on offer, and they all feature queen-size beds, an LCD television with a DVD player, a mini-bar, direct-dial telephone, internet access, an iron and ironing board, a dining setting, free toiletries and access to the guest laundry. With the exception of the Standard Room, they also have a kitchenette. The Standard Room does, however, have tea and coffee-making facilities.
One of the Deluxe Rooms at Kentish Hills Retreat is specially adapted for wheelchair users, an Apartment has space for up to six guests (some sleeping in bunk beds) and there is one Spa Suite, a large ensuite with a two-person corner spa. All guests have use of the outdoor barbecue area and anglers will like the exclusive trout-fishing area a short walk from their room.
Parking is free, even if you are coming with an RV or a truck, there is storage available for luggage, and the front desk is staffed from eight in the morning until eight at night. Continental breakfast is available for a small surcharge.
While you are staying at Kentish Hills Retreat you may wish to get up close to the farm animals and even hand feed the alpacas. Take a stroll into Sheffield, the Town of Murals as you will see, especially if you visit Mural Park. Other nearby attractions include Anvers chocolate factory, Cradle Mountain National Park, Tasmazia (full of labyrinths to get lost and found in), Mole Creek caves, vineyards, numerous arts and crafts on display in galleries and Lake Barrington is just perfect for a picnic.
Situated in a rural location, this motel is within a 15-minute walk of World Of Marbles, Mural Park, and Tasmanian Visitor Information Centre. Tasmanian Regional Arts Kentish,The Working Art Space and Gallery is 0.7 mi (1.2 km) away.
