Here is a traditional, seaside-style B&B with all the modern facilities you would expect in the twenty-first century, perfect for beach-goers, with the famous Wineglass Bay nearby, hikers, golfers, lovers of good food and those interested in local history.
A Waterview Room has a queen-size bed and, as the name implies, a lovely view across Great Oyster Bay (where you can see the Hazards and Freycinet Peninsula in the distance, weather permitting). A Spa Suite is on the other side of the hotel and compensates for the lack of a sea view with a huge, king-size bed and a spa bath big enough for two (in addition to the separate shower cubicle). There is also a Waterview Apartment, with a king-size bed, a kitchen, a lounge and laundry facilities, plus all the ingredients for cooking themselves a full English breakfast. Each room has an en-suite bathroom, reverse-cycle heating and cooling, equipment for making yourself a refreshing cup of tea and coffee, and they also provide complimentary port! You have an electric blanket, a flat-screen television, a fridge, a hair dryer, an iron and an ironing board. Waterview Rooms have a private deck, the Spa Suite has an overhead fan and access to a small courtyard, and there is a panel heater, an overhead fan, a pod coffee maker, crockery and cookware and a private deck with the Waterview Apartment.
When you have breakfast at Freycinet Waters you get the real deal, with black pudding and haggis on the menu, which alone makes this worth the price of the stay! Not far from this non-smoking, pet-free B&B you can find East Coast Heritage Museum and the clean sands of Jubilee Beach and Waterloo Point, where you can also play a few holes at Swansea Golf Course. This is a good part of Tasmania for canoeing, hiking and cycling, and other nearby places worth a visit include East Coast Natureworld, your chance to get up close to a Tasmanian Devil, Apsley Gorge, Tamar Ridge and Springdale Vineyards, the produce of which you can enjoy as well, plus there are boat trips with Wineglass Bay Cruises, and no trip would be complete without Bicheno Penguin Tours.
Situated by the sea, this bed & breakfast is steps from Kelvedon Beach, Nine Mile Beach, and Glamorgan War Memorial. East Coast Heritage Museum and Jubilee Beach are also within 5 minutes.

No noise from the road or other guests. So close, easy walking distance to most things. Every detail catered for and then some. The view is wonderful. The owners are fabulous. Nothing left wanting. Clean tidy and soooo relaxing.
One of the best places that we stayed in during our 18 night trip to Tasmania. We stayed in the self contained Waterview Apartment which had everything that we needed. All the rooms are large, comfortably furnished and you could choose whether to cook in your own room or dine out. The next morning we had all the breakfast provisions provided, and were able to cook up a storm in our own time which we loved. Karen has an excellent understanding of what different travellers are chasing. Very nice!
We have now stayed here four times over the years. Love the homely feel of this place, the breakfast is great and Karen is a lovely host and offers great travelling advice. Swansea is a quiet town, views are magnificent and it is a good base to explore the Peninsula from. You will enjoy the view from the breakfast room each morning.
