Devonport Serenity – Space for the Whole Family

Devonport Serenity also has a back deck which affords amazing views across Don Heads out towards the ocean, an attractive garden and a balcony. Guests’ needs have been anticipated: the place has everything from a games room with a ping-pong table, a pool table, and a collection of toys and games, through to a selection of films and a library of books. Bed linen is all provided, as are towels, a hair dryer, an iron, an ironing board and most importantly a washing machine, so no trips to the launderette when you’d rather be back with your guests.

The kitchen at Devonport Serenity is equipped with an oven, stove and grill, a microwave, a toaster, a fridge, various dishes and utensils, a dishwasher, and a partridge in a pear tree. All right, I made that last one up, but you would be hard-pressed to find fault with how well the owners have considered the needs of a large, self-catering group.

Only a couple of hundred metres away is Don Reserve, an amazing place to visit and featuring walking and cycling tracks. Devonport also has a new attraction called Splash, and aquatic centre and definitely a place to take the children. If you are planning a visit to Cradle Mountain, this is a good place to start, and if you are looking for other local activities, well there’s windsurfing, snorkelling, rafting, swimming, scuba diving, mountain biking, boogie-boarding, plus some intriguing caves to explore and firms offering eco-tours of the area.
