The motel units have a full kitchen and you’ll be sleeping in a king, queen or bunk bed. Air conditioning is standard and so is a television, DVD player and leather furniture in the lounge area. A cabin features double and bunk beds, a kitchenette with hotplates, oven, fridge and microwave, a dining area with a table and a colour television. Linen is provided in the motel and cabins, plus there is a disabled-access option.
If you are camping, there are in fact caravans on site which you can make use of, with a fridge, cook top, cutlery, crockery, microwave, heater and television, plus the option of hiring bed linen, or you could bring your own RV to a powered site. Standard camp sites are here at Burnie Ocean View Motel and Holiday Caravan Park as well, or if you prefer not to rough it there is the Backpacker Bunkhouse, plus the use of the camp kitchen (with a fridge and a stove), and separate male and female showers.
Burnie Ocean View Motel and Holiday Caravan Park is an ideal base for half-day and day trips such as to Rocky Cape National Park, Dismal Swamp Forestry Eco Centre, the Gordon River World Heritage Area and Cradle Mountain National Park. Much closer are attractions including Guide Falls Alpaca Park, Makers Workshop, where you can try cheese tasting, papermaking, and meet local artists at work, or you could head over to Cooee Beach to watch the penguins toing and froing.
Offering direct access to the beach, this Ocean Vista motel is within 2 mi (3 km) of Somerset Beach, Burnie Golf Club, and Memorial Park. West Beach and Burnie Park are also within 3 mi (5 km).

All 27 rooms feature kitchens with refrigerators and microwaves, plus free WiFi and flat-screen TVs with DVD players. Guests will also find coffee makers, showers, and ironing boards.
Clean and friendly. Facilities were spartan, as expected. Full range of cutlery and pots, pans and plates. Great location right across from the beach. Good value for the money. Would stay here again if in the area.
We booked a 2 bedroom in the Motel for the weekend to go and see the Tulip Festival in Wynyard up the road, the rooms are very clean bathroom very well sized for 4 adults, when checking in we were greeted by a very friendly family the room was at the rear of the office and was great very quiet during the day and at night the only noise we had on second day was children with heavy feet up stairs in the afternoon for a couple of hours but the tv helped to cancel it out LOL. We highly recommend staying here, the cabins look very good and as does the caravan park.
