Bowerbank Mill B&B
At this four-star Deloraine B&B, two cottages and a suite accommodate two, four or five guests, with your own bathroom, cooking facilities and a seating area, there’s an art gallery, a lovely garden and it’s about forty minutes from Launceston Airport.
Chimney Cottage, for two, has an upstairs bedroom with a queen bed, an en-suite bathroom with a shower, a kitchenette, a lounge, a dining area and even a piano. There are views of the meadows, and the interior includes blue stone walls and exposed beams. Meander Cottage, for four, has a queen bed and two single Austrian Sleigh beds (complete with teddy bears!), an en-suite bath and shower, kitchenette, a sitting room that includes a dining table, a spiral staircase and French doors.
Finally, Bowerbank Mill B&B has The Miller’s Suite, for five, on the first floor. Featuring cedar and Tasmanian blackwood panelling, it has two bedrooms, a shower, cooking facilities, a combined lounge and dining room, and even a library.
Your stay includes free breakfast, and parking is free of charge. You also have a television with a DVD player, and while the cooking facilities may vary you have a microwave oven, a fridge and the tools for making tea and coffee. All three properties are for non-smokers, and as they are pet-free you won’t be brushing fur off the furniture. Outside in the well-kept garden you are welcome to make use of the barbecue equipment.
Guests at Bowerbank Mill B&B have praised the wonderful architecture, furnishing and decoration of the converted property, and for a taste of more there is an adjacent Fine Art and Craft Gallery, which also has a gift shop.
Deloraine itself is just a little to the west, and a short drive can take you to Westbury Maze, Pearn’s Steam World, Deloraine and District Folk Museum or, if you fancy going a little further, you are about half an hour from Launceston.
Situated in the historical district, this bed & breakfast is within 2 mi (3 km) of St. Marks Church, Deloraine and Districts Folk Museum, and Great Western Tiers Visitor Centre. Yarns Artwork in Silk is 1.7 mi (2.8 km) away.
