Cottages at Beauty Point Tourist Park are available as four, two and one-bedroom options, with queen or double beds, electric blankets and quality linens. As well as fully equipped kitchens, open-plan dining and sitting areas (some combine the kitchen into this as well), climate-controlled heating and water provided from the municipal supply, you also have a private covered deck, free wireless internet and a newspaper delivered to your door.
Glamping, as it is known, involves having a queen-size bed, a bathroom with its own shower, toilet and hand basin, camp stove, washing-up facilities and bar fridge all in one large tent with fly-screened windows. There is Wi-Fi included, as well as a private deck from where you can enjoy views of the Tamar river.
Powered sites for camper vans, a few of which are large enough even for buses, have a water supply, electricity, sullage, plenty of space and large privacy hedges. Along with those bringing a tent, you have the use of showers (with hot water) and a fully equipped laundry.
Within easy reach of the park are a number of dining options, including Beauty Point Waterfront Hotel, The River Cafe, Tamar Cove and Chefs Catch. For local produce, Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm has your dairy needs sorted, while if you are a chocolate fan then you can’t go wrong with The House of Anvers.
Whether you come to Beauty Point Tourist Park for the peace and quiet or for something more active, there is a lot on offer. The Tamar Valley Wine Route is a mere fifteen minutes away, while canoeing, fishing and cycling (the trip to nearby Beaconsfield is a popular route) are also on offer. Platypus House gives you the chance to see echidnas and platypuses in the daytime, and if you pop over to Glengarry Bushmaze you can enjoy a unique labyrinthine experience in the heart of the Tasmanian bushland.
This Beauty Point holiday park is on the beach, 4.8 mi (7.7 km) from Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre, and within 12 mi (20 km) of Badgers Beach and Narawntapu National Park. Holm Oak Vineyards and Bakers Beach are also within 20 mi (32 km).
