Dragonfly Lodge
When you stay here, you stay in self-contained luxury accommodation which has rightly won at least three awards, where you can relax in front of amazing sea views, enjoy a picnic or barbecue in the splendid garden, warm yourselves round the real fireplace, then head off to explore the Rocky Hills region.
Each of the three bedrooms at Dragonfly Lodge has a luxuriously comfortable king bed with custom linens, and these can be converted into king singles if you prefer, giving sleeping space for a maximum of six. The bathroom has a separate bath and shower, is fully accessible and even has a heated floor. Towels and toiletries are provided, and a hair dryer is available on request. The huge lounge area has a massive fifty-centimetre plasma television, DVD player, and surround-sound, plus there is a modern Miele kitchen, and laundry facilities.
The kitchen’s equipment includes an oven and hobs, a fridge, a microwave, an electric kettle, coffee and tea-making equipment, plenty of cookware and utensils, and don’t worry about being landed with the washing-up as there is a dishwasher to take care of all that. In the pantry you will find plenty of local produce for your use, and as well as reverse-cycle air conditioning, Dragonfly Lodge has a beautiful double-sided fireplace. Furnishings include Chinese and Mongolian antiques, oversize beanbag chairs, custom handmade wool rugs, and the lodge has Russian oak floorboards throughout. There is a library of CDs, DVDs and books, plus free wireless internet. There is even an electric piano! And when you step outside, you can use the Weber barbecue set in the garden, on the terrace or in the picnic area.
Dragonfly Lodge has spectacular views of Oyster Bay and is not far from Swansea. To the north is Nine Mile Beach and across the bay are the Hazards mountain range and Freycinet Peninsula, as well as the famous Coles Bay. Also nearby are the East Coast Heritage Museum, Kate’s Berry Farm and Milton Vineyard. Dragonfly Lodge is ideal for drivers, having free parking and being little under an hour and a half from Hobart International Airport.
Situated in Rocky Hills, this cottage is within 1 mi (2 km) of Mayfield Bay Conservation Area and Little Christmas Island Nature Reserve. Kelvedon Beach Conservation Area is 2.9 mi (4.7 km) away.
Along with laundry facilities, this smoke-free cottage has a garden and barbecue grills. Free WiFi in public areas and free self parking are also provided. Other amenities include a picnic area.
The cottage has 3 bedrooms and offers free WiFi and a DVD player. Guests can enjoy a fireplace, and other amenities include a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. Housekeeping is not available.
