Loft Over The Vines is a gated property and has its own secure parking. You are free to help yourself to any produce growing in the garden, and the owners can be reached by phone any time you might need them. You otherwise have the whole place to yourself, and can greet the friendly possums next door (although you are kindly requested not to let them through the garden gate). Other useful amenities include a laptop-friendly work space, plenty of cookware and utensils, some children’s toys in addition to a baby bath and a high chair, even recommendations for babysitters if you need them, and for your peace of mind there are fire extinguishers and smoke detectors.

The pet-free, non-smoking property has a self-service breakfast included in the price of the stay, and you can stock up on other provisions at the nearby bakery and supermarkets. Other places not far from Loft Over The Vines include restaurants, wineries, cheese factories, antique shops and wildlife parks. You are also close to Australia’s oldest Catholic church, gaol and bridge (those are three separate places of interest, not one bizarre hybrid), and in the middle of the Coal River Valley, so there is plenty to explore.
