Hobart hotel pick-up commence at 8:30AM
Travel to the seaside town of Triabunna
Board the new, reliable and fast Encounter Maria ferry.
Enjoy a warm drink as we lookout for marine life such as dolphins and seals.
Arrive to Maria Island National Park
Explore the northern tip of the island with a short hike to either/both (tide and time dependant) the Painted and Fossil Cliffs tracks. 2 hrs, 4km – gentle walking.
Arrive in Darlington for a cooked lunch inside the convict built ‘mess hall’
Enjoy a glass of wine over a warm winter lunch prepared by your guides.
Spend the afternoon learning about the Convict history on a guided walk around the World Heritage Listed Darlington Convict Site.
Followed by another short walk (around 2km).
Relax by the Darlington Beach before boarding the 3:30PM ferry back to mainland Tasmania.
Journey back to Hobart, arriving by 5:25PM
