Starting with the hotel, a room with queen, double or twin beds can sleep between two and six. Electric heating and fans can be found in the non-smoking rooms, all on the first floor and some of which have balconies. Free wireless internet, a fridge and a television add to the comfort and most options have their own bathrooms, although if you are travelling on a small budget then there are some with shared facilities.

Parking is possible in the off-street area provided, and Stanley Hotel has business facilities which you may be interested in looking into. The food comes from local suppliers, who may even be dining with you at the next table, and the menu changes from season to season.

The apartments include those with a fully equipped kitchen, a deep bath and a wood fire in the case of Abbey’s Cottage (which can sleep up to eight guests in four bedrooms, complete with two bathrooms), or one of the Pol & Pen Holiday Units, with its combined kitchen/dining/sitting room and accommodation for up to five (a good choice for families). Whichever you decide on, Stanley Hotel & Apartments are conveniently placed for such attractions as The Nut, an extinct volcanic plug with amazing views from the top (you can walk or take a chair lift), Stanley Seal Excursions, a boat trip to see the fur seals swimming and basking locally, beaches, fishing opportunities, children’s playgrounds and a number of boutique and speciality shops in the town.
