Sandgroper

Sandgroper’s cooking equipment includes an oven and stove top, a microwave, a refrigerator, an electric kettle, a coffee maker and an assortment of utensils, plates, bowls, cookware and other little essentials. The smoke-free, pet-free (service animals excepted) house is equipped with both air conditioning and heating, has plenty of space for luggage storage, includes an iron and ironing board and has been designed to allow a wheelchair user to move about the place.

A large dining table sits at one end of the open-plan living area, with a modern L-shaped sofa around a coffee table at the other. A few bar stools sit next to the kitchen’s work surface too. The panoramic view of the pristine beach (one of the finest in Tasmania) is especially eye-catching from the upper floor, and the waters are quite shallow here so it is safe for swimming. Both floors have furnished deck areas, and there is barbecue equipment for when you prefer to cook al-fresco.

Sandgroper is close to Muirs Beach, Freycinet Marine Farm and a number of shops, cafes and restaurants in the Coles Bay region. The Freycinet Peninsula is a must for the hardy hiker, while Great Oyster Bay can be explored by boat or by plane with one of the local charter companies. If you are a keen angler, the owners of the holiday home have even left some basic fishing gear for your use, or you could just treat the four-star property as your own hideaway in this little corner of paradise.
