Some options have a larger kitchen, a spa bath, a children’s play area (including a boat and totem tennis), laundry facilities and reverse-cycle heating and cooling. Whichever takes your fancy, you will like the way the place is decorated, and you will find the staff more than helpful. Sails on Port Sorell is only a couple of hundred metres from fantastically clean beaches (Port Sorell is known as the ‘Port of Golden Beaches’ for a good reason!) and near a nine-hole golf course. Port Sorell Jetty is less than ten minutes away on foot, and children will love Panatana Paddling Pool and Family Park, only fifteen minutes’ walk from your apartment. There are plenty of walking tracks nearby, as well as tennis, jet-skiing, waterskiing, fishing, and at low tide, depending on the time of year, you can walk across to Penguin Island.
Day trips can be arranged to destinations such as The Nut in Stanley, Dismal Swamp, Cataract Gorge and Cradle Mountain.
