It is worth mentioning that there is staircase access but not lifts.
It takes roughly the same time to walk to the centre of Hobart as it does to drive here from the airport: about twenty minutes. Franklin Square, Hobart Town Hall and Salamanca Market are therefore reasonably close. Battery Point is slightly south-east of the motel, with the mountains off to the west looking ever so inviting!

Motel Mayfair on Cavell suited my needs perfectly. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very quiet and the bonus was the great views of Mt Wellington and towards the casino from the balcony. On site parking was a selling point. My friend enjoyed having a bath.
