Hanlon House Bed and Breakfast
Warm hospitality, professional service and large, en-suite rooms in a boutique hotel, this is a wonderful place to explore the beautiful coastline or the historic village of Stanley.
The rooms feature a king or queen bed, and in some cases additional singles. All have premium-quality linen, are en-suite, have free wireless internet and are serviced on a daily basis. They also have heating, electric blankets, blackout curtains, bathrobes, free toiletries and televisions with DVD players (in the Family Suite there are three, one in each room).
Options that depend on the room include private access from the car park and beach, a private balcony, a view of Stanley’s famous landmark ‘The Nut’ or of the ocean, a lounge area with a fridge and a microwave oven, and if you book Claire Elise, the bungalow, you can have a kitchenette which comes equipped with a stove, a refrigerator, a microwave oven, a portable grill and a kettle. There is also an outdoors log fire exclusively for Claire Elise residents.
Should you need them, Hanlon House Bed and Breakfast can also lend you the use of an iron, an ironing board, a desk, a tea and coffee maker, a refrigerator, a hair dryer, and guests can take advantage of the garden and terrace, as well as barbecue equipment.
Your breakfast is cooked to order, parking is free and Hanlon House Bed and Breakfast even has a library at your disposal. Nearby attractions, besides the overwhelmingly beautiful views of the coast, include the aforementioned Nut, an extinct volcanic plug which dominates the Stanley skyline (walk to the top or ride the chairlift – there are even guided tours available), or you could just potter around the village and do some shopping or sightseeing. Stanley Discovery Museum and Genealogy Centre are a couple of minutes’ walk away, and then you could always have a chat with the B&B owners. The property has quite a history to it.
Situated on the waterfront, this luxury guesthouse is within a 5-minute walk of Stanley Discovery Museum and Genealogy Centre and The Nut Chairlift Stanley. The Nut State Reserve and Fisherman’s Wharf Lookout are also within 1 mi (2 km).
A communal living room, free self parking, and free WiFi in public areas are available at this smoke-free guesthouse.
Change of towels is available on request.
Awesome, friendly, relaxed, good food, highly recommended. Just nice, with real country hospitality.
There are many 5 star hotels that could take a leaf out of the quality of accommodation and service that you find at Hanlon House.
Wouldn't stay anywhere else great location, great people... sat on back veranda and watched the penguins walk in...
