There are cooking facilities – a kitchenette with a portable cook-top, a microwave and a bar fridge-freezer in Pavilion Two or a full kitchen with an oven, cook-top, full-size fridge-freezer and single-drawer dishwasher in Pavilion One. Both have equipment for making coffee, as well as a barbecue set. The first pavilion also has a washing machine, an iron and ironing board and a three-seater sofa in the lounge.

While you are staying at Eaglehawk Pavilions you can peruse the books and magazines provided, watch the television, complete iwth Netflix, enjoy the sound system and make use of the free wireless internet. The deck area is fairly large and looks out over Pirates Bay, and in the case of Pavilion One also has an outdoor dining table and seating. The pet-free properties have a weekly housekeeping service and a checking-out time of eleven in the morning, later than many rivals and allowing a bit of a lie-in on the day you reluctantly leave.

There is free parking at Eaglehawk Pavilions and both Tessellated Pavement and Eaglehawk Dive Centre are less than five minutes’ drive away. On foot there are all manner of bush walks to explore, and for a really short stroll there is the beach right at your doorstep. You ought to drop in at the Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park and Tasman National Park, both less than twenty minutes’ walk, and, if you prefer to eat out, there is the nearby Lufra Hotel. Not only is this an excellent place for lunch and dinner, and a superb seafood buffet every Sunday, but also there is a bar and bottle shop. You are also only a few minutes from a good takeaway and general store called ‘Havnabite’ and when you go to the car park of the nearby blowhole there is Doo-lishus, perfect for traditional fish and chips.
