Coastal Pods Wynyard

Here’s a clever use for old shipping containers! They have been turned into luxury accommodation by the side of the river in a location convenient for shopping, dining and sightseeing, if you can tear yourself away from the beautiful waterfront.

Each unit at Coastal Pods Wynyard has the same facilities, including two bedrooms each with king-size beds, electric blankets, large pillows and fluffy toppers. One of the beds can be turned into a twin configuration. Then there’s a combined lounge and dining area which can seat up to six, laundry facilities, a galley kitchen and, in the delightful words of the proprietors, a ‘reading nook’. It’s a massive library! There is an en-suite bathroom connected to the master bedroom, complete with a rain shower. The second bathroom has a master wet-area bathroom, with both a rain shower and a hand-held jet shower, as well as having heated towel rails. The windows in the atrium are remote-controlled, so if you prefer not to use the powered heating and cooling you can modify the temperature this way.
