You have your own private en-suite bathroom, with a shower, at Alexandria Bed And Breakfast, and there are toiletries, towels and a hair dryer provided for your comfort. Comfortable linens furnish the double or single bed, in what is quite a considerably spacious room. There is a coffee maker, plus equipment for making tea if that is your preference, a clock radio, a microwave oven, a toaster, a mini fridge, a mini bar, a television with a DVD player and internet access.
There is an iron and ironing board should you need them, and it is possible to have a cot, a high chair and a rollaway bed. The non-smoking rooms have heating, and in addition to having a dining setting, there is room service on offer every day. All guests at Alexandria Bed And Breakfast have access to laundry facilities, free parking and a barbecue area. Continental breakfast is included in the price of your stay, and is included as room service, or for a surcharge you can have a cooked breakfast.
One thing it is hard to miss in the Wynyard area is how beautiful it is when the flowers are in bloom, and if you time your visit with the Tulip Festival in October, you really are in for a treat. You can get to know more of the area at Wonders of Wynyard, the visitors’ centre a couple of minutes’ drive from the Alexandria, and there are a number of walking tracks, including a 3-km round trip along the Inglis River to Gutteridge Gardens and the wharf. Less than an hour by car and you can reach Waratah, where you can fish, try your hand at gold panning or visit the museum in what used to be the world’s richest tin mine. Also there is Stanley, home of The Nut with its spectacular panoramic views, and Hellyer Gorge State Reserve.
Situated on the riverwalk, this bed & breakfast is within 1 mi (2 km) of Wynyard Golf Course, Bloomin Tulips Festival, and Fossil Bluff. Table Cape Tulip Farm and Table Cape and Lighthouse are also within 6 mi (10 km).

Rural outlook felt you were out in the country but were very close to town. Good tea and coffee making facilities and a nice place to sit and eat breakfast by the big windows.
A beautiful classic house with a lovely secluded garden about to burst with bulbs. Amazing BBQ facilities, near to the centre of Wynyard, and northern sites. Charming hostess.
On arrival at Alexandria B and B we were greeted by the lovely Rachel who showed us our room and advised us of the local attractions. The room was very clean, warm and the decor was most impressive. The beds were comfortable and free NBN internet was available. The continental breakfast was one of the best I have had. I thoroughly recommend this property for any visit for north-west Tasmania.
