Avenue House
With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, a maximum of eleven can stay here in 3.5-star air-conditioned comfort with full kitchen and laundry equipment, a garden and plenty of entertainment options, in the Moonah district of Hobart.
Beds are a mixture of queens and king-singles, with a double futon and a trundle if you are approaching capacity. Bedrooms have built-in wardrobes, so no one in your party will be living from a suitcase. The bathrooms all have built-in hair dryers, and the main one features a bath, separate shower, heated towel rail and toilet. Three televisions with DVD players should minimise arguments over who watches what, and Avenue House has a heating and air-conditioning pump so the climate should be comfortable whatever season you visit in.
If you are self-catering rather than eating out during your stay, you’ll like what the kitchen has in store. There is an oven, a stove top, a refrigerator, a toaster, a microwave, a good supply of utensils and dishes and also a dishwasher. There is a barbecue set which comes in handy out on the patio in the garden, and guests have a starter pack of basic kitchen condiments and beverages.
Avenue House is wheelchair accessible and child-friendly. There is a no-smoking and no-pets rule in force, as well as a no-parties restriction, but you are free to make use of the wireless internet, stereo, film library, books, parking space, iron and ironing board. A high chair is available if you need one, and the lounge has seating for up to ten while the dining table can accommodate eight. There are additionally some leather stools at an island bench. Once per stay there is a housekeeping service.
A drive of under ten minutes is all it takes to get to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, the incredible MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) or the Derwent Entertainer. If you fancy a twenty-minute stroll, you can wander along to a glimpse of a bygone transport era at Tasmanian Transport Museum Station – a collection of rolling stock and a chance, during the high season, to travel behind a steam locomotive. Those travelling to Tasmania by the more modern tech of flight have a mere twenty minutes’ drive to reach Avenue House from HBA Hobart International Airport.
Located in Moonah, this vacation home is within 2 mi (3 km) of Royal Hobart Showground, Tasmanian Transport Museum, and MyState Bank Arena. Runnymede and Tasmanian Hockey Centre are also within 3 mi (5 km). Tasmanian Transport Museum Station is 20 minutes by foot.
Along with laundry facilities, this vacation home has a garden and barbecue grills. Free WiFi in public areas and free self parking are also provided.
The vacation home has 4 bedrooms and offers free WiFi and a sofa bed. Guests can enjoy a deep soaking tub, and other amenities include a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. Housekeeping is available once per stay.
