Swansea Cottages & Motel Suites
The choice of top-quality accommodation here is wide, and the beach can be reached without even crossing a road. You really feel you are being looked after here, and you’ll be torn between staying in the ultra-comfort of your suite or cottage or exploring the myriad attractions of the Swansea area.
As well as air-conditioned suites, there are apartments and cottages with between one and three bedrooms with queen, single and bunk beds, some with a two-person romantic spa bath and all nestling in a beautiful garden. Cottages can accommodate up to seven, depending on which one, and have a flat-screen television with DVD player, laundry facilities, full kitchens with an oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher and even cling wrap and oven bags, plus air conditioning and direct-dial phones.
The deluxe en-suite rooms have a kitchenette, a dining suite, both heating and air conditioning, a large LCD television and a DVD player (as well as a video player for those of you who still use the old tapes). The queen bed is supplemented by a single, bunk or sofa bed for extra sleeping space. The Attic Suite is for the super-indulgent, with its two-person spa bath, and four-poster bed, plus several other goodies…
Swansea Cottages and Motel Suites are deservedly an ITOT award winner for venues with more than ten rooms. They make a point of ensuring that elderly and mobility-impaired guests are well catered for, and you can tell that the proprietors have really put their heart into the happiness and well-being of everyone who stays here.
There is a lot for visitors to see and do in Swansea, and Swansea Cottages and Motel Suites not only have direct access to the beach and tennis courts, without needing to cross any roads, but are also in the historical district. The East Coast Heritage Museum is particularly recommended, along with Bark Mill Museum. Golfing is available quite close by, and no trip to Swansea would be complete without a boat trip on the bay, with the Freycinet Peninsula on the horizon and the chance to glimpse some of the local flippered friends swimming about as you sail.
Swansea is a good place for shopping, whether you are after a souvenir or two or the fresh produce from Kate’s Berry Farm, and you can find Tasmanian wines and beers, plus restaurants serving dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. Car rental is available and the motel staff have even drawn up at least four itineraries for day trips around the area, on foot or otherwise.
Offering direct access to the beach, this Swansea hotel is in the historical district and within a 10-minute walk of Bark Mill Museum and Glamorgan War Memorial. Kates Berry Farm is 2.5 mi (4 km) away.
Guests at this beach hotel will appreciate convenient onsite amenities such as a playground and barbecue grills.
