Witness the amazing views of Hobart and surrounds from the summit on this fully guided tour. Join our escorted short tour of the Observatory on the summit and a self guided tour to the Western Wilderness Lookout to view one of the last true wilderness areas on the planet. On our descent from the summit enjoy a short easy walk around the amazing Exhibition Gardens at the midway point “The Springs” There is also time to purchase a hot drink.

The Cascade Gardens are one of Hobart’s classic gardens which lie against the banks of the Hobart Rivulet. Also home to the iconic Cascade Brewery ( Australia’s oldest working brewery.) Take your time to wander through the gardens to then marvel at the striking facade of Cascade Brewery. A fantastic photo opportunity.

Stop At: Cascades Female Factory Historic Site, 16 Degraves St South Hobart, Hobart, Tasmania 7004 Australia
One of Australia’s most significant historical sites for women, the Female Factory was the female equivalent of Port Arthur and was used to hold both women and children throughout the 1820’s. Some ruins of the original building and walls still exist. A memorial garden and museum space have been built to remember the tragic lives of those women. Wander through the grounds and enjoy the gallery and gift shop while listening to the fascinating history through the audio guide.
