Itinerary

It is a relaxing drive from Hobart to Cradle Mountain National Park – approx 4.5 hours with a midway stop. We stop in delightful Deloraine for 45 minutes to stretch the legs and grab some breakfast from one of the cafes or bakeries on the main street. It is 90 minutes from here to Cradle Mountain.
Our guests will enjoy up to five hours inside the Cradle Mountain end of Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park. This time will go quickly as either independently, or with your Driver/Guide, you will walk the trails and boardwalks, hike up to high lookouts, walk around Dove Lake, visit the Interpretation Centre or just sit down and soak up the natural beauty (or a comfy chair by the fire at Cradle Mountain Lodge.)
This “Big Day Out” is for lovers of nature who want to access somewhere remote but without the costs and extra packing associated with accommodation, overnight stays.
Three parts to the day:
1) Relaxing drive to and from Cradle Mountain in executive class bus with a stop for breakfast at Deloraine, and dinner at Sheffield, lovely small towns in regional TAS.
2) Up to six hours inside the National Park – this is effectively a full day experience and will allow you to do and see the highlights and then some.
3) Make the most of Autumn – a beautiful season at Cradle Mtn
On the return leg home, approx 4.5 hours in total, inclusive of dinner, we stop at the Sheffield Hotel for a country meal and refreshments. We then continue back to Hobart and complete our big day out.
