Quamby Estate
It’s the lap of luxury here, and ideal for golfers as it has its own course on site. The rooms are immaculately furnished and the additional services certainly leave you feeling well looked after, and it’s close to a number of places of interest and perfect for organising events such as wedding receptions or conferences.
There is a choice of Deluxe, Superior and Standard rooms, with either a king or queen-size bed as well as the option of twin bedding. Each of the luxuriously furnished options is decorated in a unique style and contains a mixture of antique furniture and some examples of modern artwork. Air conditioning is standard, and you have a private bathroom, heating, free wireless internet, a flat-screen television with a DVD player, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer and room service on a daily basis. There is even an iPod and docking station thrown in. Some rooms come with a desk, bathrobes, a mini-bar and spa baths.
Parking at Quamby Estate is free, and services include concierge, luggage storage and daily housekeeping, including an evening turn-down service. There is a restaurant on the premises, the Quamby Dining Room, which also has a bar. For a surcharge, you can have a full English breakfast, and dinner is also possible subject to a reservation. The food makes the best use of local Tasmanian cuisine, and is also a good place for a light snack.
While there are ecotours available near to Quamby Estate, you can enjoy fishing and golfing on the premises themselves (the golf course commands a par 74 with nine holes and amazing views). Free hire of bicycles is also possible from the estate, and there are cycling and hiking trails that start here. A drive of less than fifteen minutes is all it takes to reach Tasmania Zoo, Westbury Sports Centre, Westbury Maze and Entally Estate, while Launceston is only about thirty minutes away.
Situated in the historical district, this luxury guesthouse is within 6 mi (10 km) of Westbury Maze, Pearns Steam World, and Westbury Sports Centre. John Temple Gallery and Tasmanian Copper & Metal Art Gallery are also within 9 mi (15 km).

Wow this was the perfect place to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Everything is gorgeous from our amazing room to the beautifully cared for historic building which is so beautiful inside & out. Thank you for a wonderful two days.
What a delightful place to stay. Pure elegance and comfort. History in every corner. Nothing more peaceful than having breakfast looking out through the French doors at the green sheep paddocks and listening to the birds.
