Parsons Bay Retreat
In picturesque surroundings, there are comfortable rooms and friendly staff in an area which allows you to get away from the bustle of the big cities, as well as being located near enough to put a wide range of attractions onto your list of day trips.
A studio sleeps between two and three, in a queen and single bed, while between four and eight can stay in a two-bedroom apartment, with combinations of queen, single, bunks and a divan. In addition, cots are available gratis. You have the use of equipment for making tea and coffee, a refrigerator, a microwave and an assortment of cutlery and crockery. There is also a television with a DVD player, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, a heater, a fan, electric blankets and all the necessary linens for the beds. Naturally, there is an en-suite bathroom, which has a shower. The self-catering studios and apartments also come equipped with hot plates, an oven and various cooking utensils.
While you are staying at the twenty-three acres of Parsons Bay Retreat, you have the use of a guest laundry, free wireless internet, free parking, free DVD hire, a dry sauna, a gym and half-size tennis courts. For that al-fresco grill there is an undercover barbecue, and if you are interested in using the retreat for workshops or a conference then there is ‘The Shed’, ideal for such purposes. The ten rooms are for non-smokers and are pet-free, with housekeeping available once per stay.
Parsons Bay Retreat has a cafe which doubles up as a community kitchen. From here there are marvellous views of the bay itself, making it a good place to enjoy a meal. The staff are keen to help with any booking arrangements to nearby attractions, which include the historic Port Arthur Site and Tasman Island Cruises. While you are here, you might like to visit the rather unusual Tasmanian Devil Unzoo, the first of its kind anywhere in the world, where there is an unusual inversion on the conventional zoo experience. There are at least thirty-five walking trips possible in the region, and the whole place is located in an eco-village, close to Tasman National Park and Eaglehawk Dive Centre.
Situated by the ocean, this hotel is within 1 mi (2 km) of Art at The Point Gallery, North Passage Point Conservation Area, and Apex Point Conservation Area. Hardys Hill Nature Reserve and Brother and Sister Conservation Area are also within 3 mi (5 km).
A bar/lounge, an outdoor tennis court, and laundry facilities are available at this hotel. Free WiFi in public areas and free self parking are also provided. Other amenities include a garden.
Housekeeping is available once per stay.
