Ormiston House

Your stay will be in one of five named suites, all non-smoking, such as ‘Amelia’, ‘Christina’ or ‘Jessie’. Each one has room service, a coffee maker, free wireless internet, a television with access to digital channels as well as a DVD player, and all the other necessary items such as a hair dryer, ironing equipment. Your private bathroom has a shower (there is the option of a bathtub, even a jetted tub) and comes with complementary toiletries. It is worth noting that the guesthouse only offers accommodation for adults, and, with the exception of service animals, pets are not permitted.

Ormiston House provides you with free continental breakfast and additionally you can take advantage of the free parking (which includes disability parking), facilities for doing laundry (including dry cleaning), a bar with a lounge area, concierge services and a business centre. If you need wireless internet access outside of your room, it is available in public areas as well. The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day, although they do request that you contact them in advance if you wish to arrive after 6 PM.

While there is plenty to see at Ormiston House itself, being of great historical importance in the history of the sugar industry, it is also only a couple of kilometres from Strahan Harbour, Strahan Golf Club and the Botanical Garden Reserve. Not only that, but it is only a short distance from the beautiful Hogarth Falls.
