Lake St Clair Lodge
This luxury eco-resort is one of only two in the world ever to have been built inside a World Heritage-listed area, so it is something of a unique experience. The cabin accommodation affords spectacular views with modern, comfortable living arrangements and there is no shortage of exciting things to see and do locally.
Lake St Clair Lodge has Studio Cabins which have a king-size bed or a twin-share, an en-suite bathroom with a toilet and a shower, a large open-plan living area, tub chairs, a coffee table, an LCD television and there’s a lovely romantic fireplace to settle down in front of, as well as a balcony from which you can enjoy the amazing views. The Suites on offer have a king-size bed, separate bedroom and living areas, and a spa bathroom. There is a kitchenette with a dining table, a fireplace and a private balcony. Like the Cabins, there is also a television. Finally there are bungalows, loft-style cottages and a house if you are booking a large group. King-size and twin-single bed combinations mean that up to six people can stay, and you get a television, bathroom, kitchenette and dining table.
There are laundry and luggage-storage facilities at Lake St Clair Lodge, and also daily housekeeping and a front desk open from eight thirty in the morning until eight at night, a concierge, and just ask if you need an iron or ironing board. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at Fergy’s Bar and Restaurant on site, with a range of ingredients that are locally sourced whenever possible. There is also a nearby convenience store.
This is a great location if you want to visit the ambitious Wall in the Wilderness wooden history of Tasmania or the crystal waters of Cynthia Bay, both under five minutes’ drive away. Just over an hour by car will take you to Clark Dam, and everything around you is part of the overwhelming beauty of a World Heritage site, so you are spoilt for choice.
Situated on a lake, this lodge is 0.5 mi (0.7 km) from Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park and within 3 mi (5 km) of The Wall in the Wilderness and Lake St. Clair. Cynthia Bay and Walls of Jerusalem National Park are also within 6 mi (10 km).
Along with a restaurant, this smoke-free lodge has a bar/lounge and laundry facilities. Self parking is free. Additionally, tour/ticket assistance, a convenience store, and a garden are onsite.
All 42 rooms provide conveniences like refrigerators and coffee makers, plus furnished balconies and TVs. Other amenities available to guests include ceiling fans, hair dryers, and showers.
