Ivy on Glenelg
In the relaxing surroundings of an attractive garden and courtyard, these award-winning, self-contained cottage wings, plus a B&B option, allow you to stay in a peaceful area with good local shops and the attractive countryside of Campbell Town to explore, with the historic Ross a short drive away.
After a comfortable night’s sleep in a queen or single bed, Ivy on Glenelg provides you with a mixture of provisions for a good continental breakfast as well as a Lavaza coffee machine. Guests have the convenience of off-street parking, free wireless internet and a dishwasher, and the security of smoke detectors, emergency lighting and CCTV coverage of the exterior of their building. Some options include reverse-cycle air conditioning, bathrobes and slippers, a fully equipped kitchen, a sitting room and an extra bathroom. The Tuscan Room is a traditional bed-and-breakfast stay, complete with a king-size bed, huge television and DVD player, CD player, and lavish breakfast room.
As well as having an incredible garden, Ivy on Glenelg is in a good location for the antiques shopping locally (Campbell Town Antiques is particularly recommended), as well as good food at Zeps pizzeria and licensed cafe. And if fashion is your thing, how about browsing what’s on sale at Lake Leather? For more ideas, Ross Visitor Information Centre is a mere ten minutes’ drive, and a walk of less than fifteen minutes can take you to Convict Brick Trail. Alternatively, relax back in the courtyard or garden and say hello to the various sheep, alpacas, cats and dogs on the premises.
If you are flying, Launceston Airport is just over half an hour away by car.
Situated in Campbell Town, this bed & breakfast is 0.6 mi (1 km) from Convict Brick Trail and within 9 mi (15 km) of St John’s Anglican Church and Post Office. Ross Visitor Information Centre and Ross Bridge are also within 9 mi (15 km).
Along with a garden, this smoke-free bed & breakfast has barbecue grills and free breakfast. Free WiFi in public areas and free self parking are also provided.
Housekeeping is not available.
We were very impressed with the friendliness and hospitality.
We have been to Tasmania six times and nowhere has reached the standard of accommodation or hospitality shown here.
We recently stayed at Ivy on Glenleg and had an absolutely wonderful time. Irene & David made us feel so welcome, almost as if we were family. We stayed in the Dry Cottage which was superbly decorated and was just a cosy little cottage with all the mod cons - right down to the heated towel rail. Breakfast was superb and way more than we could eat.
