Harrington’s 102
Here’s a good, quality place to stay right inside the Central Business District of Hobart, with every room having its own bathroom, a coffee shop downstairs and both air conditioning and free WiFi.
There are Standard Rooms, Compact Rooms and Suites on two floors and all have en-suite bathrooms, finished in Persian marble, with a shower and a hair dryer. Your stay at Harrington’s 102 includes electric blankets, a heater, air conditioning, an alcohol-free mini-bar and fridge, a flat-screen television, facilities for making tea and coffee, reading lamps above or beside your bed, and there is an iron and ironing board available on request.
One of the accommodation options, called a Harrington Room, is designed for three people although it is possible to accommodate a fourth, while the Balcony Room holds two with space for a third. Both of these have views of the city, as do some of the Standard Rooms, and there is an all-weather table and a couple of chairs on the balcony itself.
A coffee shop is part of the hotel, and there is wireless internet included in the cost of your stay. The staff can provide luggage-storage space, and while there is no parking actually on the premises, it is possible to find a space nearby. It should also be pointed out that access to floors above street level are by staircases only, as there are no lifts in the building.
As you are in Hobart’s Central Business District, the smoke-free and pet-free hotel is ideal for business travellers, and all of the major car-hire firms are within convenient walking distance. Should you require continental breakfast, it is available for a surcharge and checking in is possible from two in the afternoon, while you can check out by ten in the morning.
Anyone who has been to Hobart before will have no difficulty in finding all the places of interest which are close to Harrington’s 102, but for those new to this brilliant city there are all the delights of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, Brooke Street Pier, Franklin Square and the Playhouse Theatre in the region of ten minutes’ walk. Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens shouldn’t be missed either, and if you were disappointed to learn that passenger trains ceased running in this state at the end of the seventies, you won’t be disappointed to learn that they’ve managed to keep a selection of them at Tasmanian Transport Museum Station, where you can even ride on one of them during the tourist season. For those of you who are flying here, the hotel is roughly twenty minutes’ drive from HBA Hobart International Airport.
Located in Hobart Central Business District, this hotel is within a 15-minute walk of State Library of Tasmania, Salamanca Market, and Constitution Dock. Salamanca Place and Hobart Cruise Terminal are also within 1 mi (2 km).
This smoke-free hotel features a restaurant, a coffee shop/cafe, and free WiFi in public areas.
