As well as three bedrooms for up to seven guests, with a combination of queen and single beds, you have air conditioning, free wireless internet, free parking, two bathrooms with a shower, a flat-screen television, a washing machine, tea and coffee-making equipment, an oven and hobs, a microwave, a fridge and a ceiling fan. A huge, open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area is the dominant feature of Dove on Freycinet, with an attractive wooden ceiling, and through the huge plate-glass windows you can see the mountains above the lush greenery. The balcony has outdoor furniture, so it is a good place to make use of the barbecue set, as is the lovely garden.
The beach is the first place you will want to make a beeline for, especially since Dove on Freycinet is next to Tasmania’s famous Coles Bay. In addition to Muirs Beach, Sandpiper Beach and the aptly named Friendly Beaches, the Freycinet Peninsula to the south east is an absolute joy to behold, with the spectacular Hazards Mountains and teeming with all manner of wildlife. Swansea is a short drive counter-clockwise round Great Oyster Bay, and the whole area can be explored by plane, boat, on foot or by bicycle. Freycinet Marine Farm is about a minute’s walk from the property and there are plenty of other ideas at the nearby Freycinet National Park Visitor Centre.
Situated near the beach, this vacation home is within a 5-minute walk of Freycinet Marine Farm and Coles Bay Conservation Area. Sandpiper Beach is 2.2 mi (3.6 km) away.
