This well-equipped club with horse riding, golf, tennis, swimming, steam room, casino and a host of restaurants and bars includes excellent rooms on site or self-contained villas just under a kilometre away, the latter with complimentary transport to where all the fun is to be had.
Resort accommodation features six types of en-suite room, including a Deluxe King with premium fittings, a pillow menu, a lovely king-size bed as the name implies, an HD television with Foxtel, a mini-bar, tea and coffee equipment, free valet parking and a complimentary newspaper. Self-contained Villas have between one and three bedrooms, private bathrooms, Foxtel, wireless internet, large living areas and full kitchens.
Guests staying in either of these fashions have such essentials as free toiletries, a hair dryer, daily housekeeping, in-room massage available on request, a phone, access to a safe, laundry equipment, dry cleaning and luggage storage. Babysitting services may be booked, as can a cot and roll-away bed, and the staff at the front desk will happily lend a hand with the booking of tickets and tours. There are lifts to the higher floors, and if you need cash in a hurry then there is an ATM. On another practical note, the Villas are about nine hundred metres from the resort itself, and there is a free shuttle service every day if you don’t feel like walking or cycling the distance.
Country Club Tasmania has a golf course, the opportunity for horse riding and tennis, a casino, live entertainment on many occasions throughout the year, a swimming pool, a spa and ten bars and restaurants so that, no matter what your taste in food and drink might be, there will be something for everyone. The venue is huge, so as well as being an excellent choice for a four-star break, it is ideal for functions such as wedding receptions, conferences and anything else that benefits from top-notch catering and leisure facilities.
Launceston is a short drive from Country Club Tasmania, and the venue prides itself on being bike-friendly. There is no shortage of cycling, as well as walking, routes in the area, with Travellers’ Rest to the south and Youngtown to the east. Obviously, heading north into Launceston brings you to all the goodies the city has to offer, such as the amazing Cataract Gorge, plenty of shopping opportunities and even more restaurants, bars and cafes. LST Launceston Airport is roughly a quarter of an hour’s drive from the Country Club.
