You get free bottled water, the use of an iron and ironing board, a clock radio, a telephone and the rooms, all of which are non-smoking, carpeted, have heating and are serviced daily. Bedding is all there for you, including electric blankets, as is a desk and a wardrobe. They also throw in free, in-house films. As you can expect from a motor inn, parking is free.

Standard rooms have a single bed while Executives have a queen bed. Cots and a high chair are available in the Executive rooms, which also have more impressive views and a veranda. Some, but by no means all, are accessed by stairs, which is worth bearing in mind when booking if you have mobility issues. The balcony has a pair of outdoor chairs and a small drinks table.

Beachfront Voyager Motor Inn serves food daily at Raindrops Restaurant, specialising in Cape Grim prime rib beef and freshly caught seafood. You can enjoy a good selection of wines, beers and cocktails at the bar, every day except Sundays and public holidays, and if you pop down to the reception desk they will be pleased to give you a copy of a guide which outlines at least eleven walks in the area, from bush to beach. They can also lend a hand with tour and ticket booking, dry cleaning and luggage storage. There is a conference room available too, as well as free newspapers in the lobby.

As well as offering plenty of eco-tourism, this part of Burnie is right inside the Central Business District (CBD). The town has the Burnie Regional Museum, the Burnie Regional Art Gallery, the impressive Ansleigh Gardens, and you are less than ten minutes’ walk from Maker’s Workshop Information Centre. The boardwalk is a good place for a leisurely stroll, while Burnie Arts and Function Centre is little more than five minutes away. The nearest airport is Devonport DPO, which can be reached by car in forty minutes.
