5 Day Signature Gourmet Self-Drive Trail

Arrive to Hobart Airport before 12pm on any Thursday to start your Tasmania journey!  Drive to your premium Hobart Waterfront accommodation. Check in and then walk to the Mona ferry terminal to head to Mona for the afternoon.

The afternoon includes wine tasting from Moorilla, Monas winery; beer tasting from the Mona Brewery, Moo Brew and a self guided experience at MONA art gallery.

Explore Salamanca today! Stroll from your accommodation to the Salamanca Market. This iconic Saturday tradition brings Hobart’s waterfront alive with a celebration of the senses. In a vibrant atmosphere of cultural commerce, over 300 stallholders line the street from sunrise where locally crafted products include Tasmanian timber treasures and homewares, unique clothing and jewellery, fresh and seasonal produce, artwork, leather goods, soaps and skincare, artisan cheeses, breads, wines and spirits as well as tasty ‘on the go’ eats.

Saturday  PM –

Pick up your car from Hobart City… ( 10 mins walk from you hotel) Drive to the spectacular East Coast to your stunning coastal resort Freycinet Lodge.

Wineglass Bay Cruise (AM) –

This morning, experience an unforgettable 4 hour cruise to Wineglass Bay taking in the sights and history of the Freycinet Peninsula. You cruise from the gentle shores of Coles Bay, to one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, stopping for lunch at Wineglass Bay to enjoy some of Tasmania’s finest fresh produce. The scenery is stunning, the wildlife abundant, and you will experience a rare, intimate outlook on one of Tasmania’s most extraordinary places.

PM – The ultimate oyster experience. Wade out into the crisp waters of Freycinet Marine Farm, harvest oysters straight off the rack, watch a shucking demonstration, then kick back and enjoy fresh oysters and mussels paired with a delicious local wine on this guided oyster farm tour.

Enjoy the scenic drive back down the coast stopping at coastal towns and  vineyards or open farms on the way as you make your way to Hobart Airport.
